According to CBS Sports, Raiders tight end Darren Waller “has had a deal in discussion that would make him the highest paid at his position.”
The report added that his new deal could be worth $16 million annually.
Waller currently ranks 17th in yearly salary among tight ends, but this sounds like it’s about to change in the near future.
Over the last three seasons, the 29-year-old’s compiled 3,006 receiving yards and 14 touchdowns for Las Vegas.
Waller will remain a top tight end in the league as long as he keeps producing solid position play.
