Warriors, Wizards to play preseason games in Japan

Associated Press

The Golden State Warriors and Washington Wizards will play two 2022 preseason games in Japan in the upcoming months.

This is the first visit to Japan for both teams, and the two games will mark the 15th and 16th NBA games played in the country.

With the success of the Warriors and superstar Steph Curry over recent years and Japan Native and Wizards forward Rui Hachimura, the games should be a hot ticket in the area.

Golden State and Washington will play on Friday, September 30 and Sunday, October 2 at the Saitama Super Arena to open the preseason.

The Warriors are the reigning NBA Finals champions, and the Wizards finished 12th in the Eastern Conference last season.
