Tom Izzo agrees to $31 million extension with Michigan State

Michigan State head coach Tom Izzo has agreed to a new five-year, $31 million contract to remain with the team.

The deal includes around a $2 million raise, will need approval from the school board next month.

Izzo, now 67-years-old, has held the position since the 1995-96 season.

He’s led his Spartans to 24 consecutive NCAA tournament appearances including a National Championship back in 2000.

According to 247 Sports, Michigan State has risen to third in in the team rankings for the 2023 class with four player commitments.

Izzo will now earn a salary of $6.2 million per year at the head of his college ball club.
