The Detroit Lions signed former wide receiver Devin Funchess and switch his position to tight end.
Funchess’ last NFL game was back in 2019 with the Colts, where he played in just one game with the team.
What’s very interesting is not only that Detroit signed the 28-year-old, but decided to switch his position as well.
Winning just three games last season, it seems like the Lions are desperate to remain relevant.
Funchess most productive season was in 2017, where he caught 63 receptions for 840 yards and eight touchdowns with the Carolina Panthers.
