The San Francisco Giants placed pitcher Jakob Junis on the 15-day injured list with a left hamstring strain.
Junis initially told the media Saturday that he’s feeling better, but he’s still waiting to hear MRI results on his hamstring.
The 29-year-old has been great for San Francisco this season, posting a 4-1 record with a 2.63 ERA, 40 strikeouts, and 0.96 WHIP throughout 48 innings pitched.
At some point this weekend, Junis’ status should be more clear after we hear his MRI results.
