The Toronto Blue Jays placed pitcher Hyun Jin Ryu on the 15-day injury list with left forearm inflammation.
Ryu was forced to leave yesterday’s matchup with the White Sox after allowing two earned runs in four innings pitched due to the sore arm.
The injury could speak to the 35-year-old’s rocky start to the 2022 season, where he’s posted a high 5.33 ERA in 27 innings pitched.
According to NBC Sports, Ross Stripling is expected to fill in for Ryu’s spot in the current rotation.
