Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is undergoing surgery to repair a torn plantar plate in his foot.
This means Mahomes will likely miss most of the Chiefs’ offseason workouts as he recovers from the injury.
The 25-year-old certainly looked different after sustaining the injury this postseason, and it effected his ability to move around both inside and outside of the pocket.
Mahomes was clearly affected by it in Super Bowl LV, but he should make a full recovery ahead of the 2021 season.
His mega 10-year, $450,000,000 contract will kick in next season where he’s owed $24,806,905.
