The Miami Dolphins waived running back Jordan Howard after another healthy scratch on Sunday.
Howard previously signed a two-year $9.75 million contract with Miami last offseason.
The 26-year-old ran for 28 carries for 33 yards and four touchdowns in five games for the Dolphins.
If there’s another team pursing Howard, they’d have to pay him $721,000 for the remainder of the season.
Miami will move forward with Myles Gaskin as their workhorse back when he returns from his injury for the foreseeable future.
