RocNation Sports agency was founded in 2013 by hip-hop millionaire mogul Jay-Z. The rapper topped Forbes’ richest hip-hop artist for the first time since accounting for it back to 2011. He increased his net worth from $810 million in 2017, to $900 million in 2018.
The agency has grown rapidly by increasing its talent base with some of the biggest name athletes in the world. With 33 athletes signed, their client list’s top athlete is back-to-back NBA Champion and NBA Finals MVP Kevin Durant of the Golden State Warriors. Their list includes MLB stars Robinson Cano, C.C. Sabathia, Rusney Castillo, and Yoenis Cespedes. Also, NFL stars Dez Bryant, Todd Gurley, and Leonard Fournette are with the team.
RocNation Sports commissions, which are split with Create Arts Agency (CAA) with many of its clients, are listed at $21.8 million accoring to Forbes. Their contract value under management is listed at $906 million, and their contract years are listed at 103.
