Tim Anderson out 4-6 weeks with a torn ligament

USA Today Sports

According Bally Sports and Stadium, White Sox shortstop Tim Anderson will be out 4-6 weeks with a torn ligament in his left hand.

Bad news for both Chicago and fantasy managers coming down the final stretch of the season.

Anderson, who currently serving a two-game suspension, sustained the injury during his final at-bat last Saturday against the Rangers.

It’s unclear just exactly how long the 29-year-old will be sidelined, but it should depend on his recovery rate or if he’ll need surgery for the injury.

Anderson was solid on the field when he was healthy in his 2022 campaign, slashing .301/.339/.395 to go along with 50 runs scored, 25 RBI, and 13 steals in 79 games.
