The Washington Commanders signed defensive back DeJuan Neal out of the USFL to an undisclosed contract.
Neal was undrafted as a fifth-year senior out of Shepard University in 2019, but he had multiple stints in the XFL and USFL in the following years.
Neal now join Christian Sam as the only two USFL players to be signed by NFL teams so far, but plenty more are earning workouts and tryouts with NFL organizations.
With so many injuries occurring throughout the NFL, expect the league to continue to seek out talent from the USFL throughout the season.
