Rookie shortstop Jeremy Peña has been removed from the Astros starting lineup Thursday against the Royals.
It’s not clear yet why Peña has been removed, but Houston will give an update on the 24-year-old soon.
Peña’s had a very decent rookie season as of now, and he’s hitting .270/.320/.472 to go along with 12 home runs, 36 runs scored, 31 RBI, and six steals.
Mauricio Dubón has been inserted at shortstop in today’s game against Kansas City.
