Barcelona have made an offer to Bayern Munich for 33-year-old striker Robert Lewandowski.
Club president Joan Laporta said he was hoping for a “positive response” from the German champions.
“We have made an offer for the player (Lewandowski), we are waiting for the response, we will see if it is positive,” Laporta said on Thursday.
Lewandowski has been a member of Bayern Munich since 2014, and he’s made 253 appearances and scored 238 goals with the club.
Specific financial details about Barca’s offer have yet to been disclosed, but it’s been reported they have offered £33.8m plus a £4.2m bonus.
Lewandowski has one year left on his current contract, and in May he stated that his “story is over” with Bayern Munich.
