Giancarlo Stanton has been activated from the 10-day IL and will return to the Yankees starting lineup Saturday.
Stanton has been sidelined for almost two weeks with a right calf strain, but he’s returning to face the Detroit Tigers this afternoon.
The 32-year-old is slashing .285/.339/.523 in 2022 with 11 home runs, 35 RBI, and 15 runs.
Both season-long and daily fantasy managers won’t hesitate at all to insert Stanton back in the lineup today, especially facing pitcher Beau Brieske who carries an 0-4 record and 5.25 ERA.
Teammate DJ LeMahieu is not in the starting lineup for Saturday’s matchup.
