Kris Bryant is out of the Colorado Rockies’ starting lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Pirates with an ailing back injury.
Due to the lingering back soreness, Bryant was also scratched from the lineup on Monday.
It’s a concerning sign for the 30-year-old, especially since he missed nearly a month this season with a similar injury.
If a IL stint is necessary, the Rockies’ $187 million acquisition could be sidelined for the near future, but there should be an officially update on his status soon.
Sam Hilliard is starting in left field Tuesday in Bryant’s absence.
