The Cincinnati Reds activated pitcher Tyler Mahle from the restricted list after missing the team’s weekend series in Toronto.
Mahle was previously placed on the list due to Canada’s COVID-19 vaccine protocols, but now he’s scheduled to re-join the starting rotation on Tuesday.
The 27-year-old out of Newport Beach has posted a 2-4 record to begin 2022 with a 5.23 ERA across 43 innings pitched.
Mahle is on a one-year, $5,200,000 contract with Cincinnati signed near the end of March avoiding arbitration.
