Mike Trout will be sidelined for the Angels on Monday against the Astros with a hand injury.
X-rays came back negative after Trout was hit on the left hand by a pitch during Sunday’s game against the Rangers.
At this point it sounds like the 30-year-old will be day-to-day, and manager Joe Maddon told reporters that he was unlikely to play tonight anyway.
Trout is off to a good start to the 2022 season, hitting two home runs, three RBI, and eight runs in 37 plate appearances.
