Pelicans discussing Jrue Holiday trade scenarios

USA Today Sports

The New Orleans Pelicans are openly discussing trade options for guard Jrue Holiday.

Newly hired head coach Stan Van Gundy seems to want to make Lonzo Ball his offensive general, especially after talking him up during his opening press conference.

Holiday is a top-tier level guard that averaged 19.1 PTS, 4.8 REB, and 6.7 AST last season, so he can certainly help any team in playoff contention.

He has two years left on his current contract and is due $25 million this season, and has a $26 million player option for 2021-22.

Holiday could see his way back to the eastern conference, especially with front office changes being made in Philly, and with the Bucks looking to bolster their pieces around Giannis Antetokounmpo.
