According to ESPN, receiver Deebo Samuel is “not expected to participate in any on-field work” during the 49ers’ offseason program.Â
Like A.J. Brown of the Titans, Samuel is also entering the final year of his rookie contract and wanting a long-term deal.
San Francisco will most likely try to give Samuels a deal worth his services, especially with the 49ers offense surrounding his play.
In the upcoming season, the 26-year-old is scheduled to earn $4,890,519 in the last year of his deal.
In his first three seasons in San Francisco, Samuels totaled 3,148 yards from scrimmage with 21 total receiving and rushing touchdowns
