The New England Patriots signed running back Ty Montgomery to a two-year, $4 million contract.Â
Montgomery started his NFL career as a receiver and was mainly used as a pass catcher out of the backfield during his time with the Packers and Saints.
The 29-year-old ran for a total 139 yards from scrimmage last season with New Orleans.
Running back James White recently re-signed with the Pats and he’ll likely see more time coming out of the backfield, but Montgomery should see time as well.
