The Cleveland Browns released 29-year-old wide receiver Jarvis Landry after spending four years with the team.
Landry was given permission to seek a trade after Cleveland traded for Amari Cooper over the weekend, but no one was willing to take Landry’s $14.3 million salary.
The move saves the Browns a $14.8 million cap hit for next season.
Landry had career lows in multiple categories last season, catching just 52 receptions for 570 yards and two touchdowns.
The five-time Pro-Bowler’s most recent contract was a five-year deal for $75,500,000 with Cleveland signed in 2018.
NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported that the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills are two teams interested in Landry.
