The Kansas City Chiefs have franchise tagged 25-year-old left tackle Orlando Brown according to ESPN.
Brown was a big part of a Chiefs offensive line graded by Pro Football Focus as 2021’s sixth-best pass-blocking unit.
Previously, in his first three seasons with the Baltimore Ravens, Brown played on the right side of the line before seamlessly transitioning to the left side for Kansas City in 2021.
Last season, the Chiefs traded a 2021 first-round pick, a 2021 third-round pick, a 2021 fourth-round pick, and a 2022 fifth-round pick in exchange with Baltimore for Brown.
After being franchise tagged, the offensive tackle will make a salary of $16,500,000 for the 2022 NFL season.
