Los Angeles Rams head coach Sean McVay said the team wants to re-sign Pro-Bowl wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr.
“We definitely want Odell back,” McVay told SiriusXM’s Adam Schien. “Hopeful there will be many more years.”
Beckham tore his ACL in Super Bowl LVI after catching two receptions for 52 yards and a touchdown against the Cincinnati Bengals.
The 29-year-old has had surgically-repaired knees twice which had casted doubt on his 2022 contract status, and he needed 11 months to recover from his ACL with the Browns in 2020.
In order to retain the three-time Pro-Bowler, the Rams may vow to sign Beckham to a short-term contract.
Beckham Jr. was on a one-year, $1,250,000 deal with LA last season, and he previously earned his big money when he was on a five-year, $90,000,000 contract with the New York Giants in 2018.
