According to Shams Charania of The Athletic, Zion Williamson has been cleared for basketball activities after returning to New Orleans.
Williamson was previously spending time in Portland to rehab his foot injury that’s kept him sidelined all season.
The 2019 number one overall pick out of Duke has been suffering injury setbacks throughout the year and has been shown to have a possible weight issue.
In October of 2021, the Pelicans exercised a $13,534,817 option for Williamson for the 2022-23 season.
Although this news is coming out today, it remains to be seen if Zion will make a return to the court this season for New Orleans.
Honestly, it’s doubtful at this point that he makes a return.
