Portland Trail Blazers announced Sunday that superstar Damian Lillard will be re-evaluated in 2-to-3 weeks.
Lillard underwent abdominal surgery in mid-January, and he’s missed the last 25 Blazers games.
The 31-year-old has progressed to the reconditioning phase of his rehab leaving the door open for a possible return to the floor this season.
Portland is currently 10th in the Western Conference, which is a play-in situation for the playoffs if they remain in the hunt.
Lillard was averaging 24.0 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 7.3 assists per game in 29 games played this season.
Although the six-time All-Star signed a $176,265,152 contract extension with Portland in 2019, rumors have been swirling for a while as if he’ll request a trade at some point in the upcoming offseason.
