Newly acquired Cleveland Cavaliers guard Caris LeVert will be sidelined for “a week or two” with a right foot sprain according to the Associated Press.
This a blow for the Cavs, and they’ll also be without Darius Garland tonight against the Detroit Pistons.
LeVert has been dealing with foot injuries dating back to his college days at Michigan, and he also spent a big period of time out as a member of the Nets in the 2018-19 season.
Cleveland is sitting in the fourth seed right now in the Eastern Conference with the Bucks creeping right behind them.
Since being dealt to the Cavaliers, LeVert has averaged 13.3 points, 1.5 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game.
The team might opt to split minutes between Rajon Rondo, Cedi Osman, and Brandon Goodwin as long as LeVert is sidelined.
