Portland Trail Blazers shooting guard C.J. McCollum said he could return to game action next week.
McCollum said,” If I was a betting man, I would bet on next week, but I can’t bet on sports.”
The 29-year-old has been out since January 16 after fracturing his left foot.
“Friday’s workout went well, how I expected to go,” McCollum went on. “I’ll be back soon, as long as everything continues to go the way it’s going.”
He was off to a hot start to the season averaging 26.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 5.0 assists.
When McCollum gets his conditioning back to full strength, expect him to pick up right where he left off in the beginning of the season.
