Packers sign Aaron Jones to four-year $48M deal

USA Today Sports

The Green Bay Packers re-signed running back Aaron Jones to a four-year, $48 million contract extension.

After not franchise tagging Jones recently, it looked like the 26-year-old was going to hit free agency.

However, the sides got a deal done and the Packers retain their man.

Jones ran for a career-high 1,104 yards last season along with 355 receiving yards, and 11 total touchdowns.

He’s now scored over 30 total touchdowns over the last two seasons, and it doesn’t look like Jones will slow down in the near future.

Jones should be a high selection in all fantasy football formats for the upcoming season.

Although Green Bay selected AJ Dillion in the second-round of last year’s draft, he’ll take a back seat with Jones getting re-signed and Jamaal Williams preparing to hit free agency.
