Cleveland Cavaliers center Andre Drummond has exercised his $28.7 million player option for the 2020-21 season.
Drummond may not have seen this type of money in the free agent market, so taking this was the right move for the 27-year-old.
The big man will be an unrestricted free agent after this season, so if the Cavs decide to move him before the trade deadline it won’t be a surprise.
Drummond averaged 17.7 points and 15.2 rebounds playing for the Pistons and Cavs last season.
