The Minnesota Twins have picked up their $12 million club option on 39-year-old outfielder Nelson Cruz.
The decision is the right move for both Minnesota and Cruz, as he hit 41 home runs and 108 RBI in the regular season with a career best 1.031 OPS.
He also helped lead his ball club to a AL Central Title behind a 101-61 record.
Even when Cruz turns 40 in July, he will still remain a must have on a roster spot in all fantasy formats.
The slugger has earned $100,813,340 in 15 career seasons with the Brewers, Rangers, Orioles, Mariners, and Twins.
