1010 XL Jacksonville’s Hays Carlyon believes the Jaguars hiring of offensive coordinator John DeFilippo “strengthens the possibility” of the team “making an aggressive play” for Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Nick Foles.
Foles will certainly have plenty of suitors once he and the Eagles decide the best course of action for him.
Foles is highly unlikely to remain in Philly after the Eagles again committed to Carson Wentz long-term as their quarterback.
DeFilippo was Foles’ position coach in 2017 with the Eagles when they won the Super Bowl lead by Foles.
The Jaguars’ obvious top need is finding a quarterback with Blake Bortles and his $21 million cap hit are on the way out the door.
