The Toronto Blue Jays have placed outfielder Tesocar Hernandez on the paternity list.
With the birth of his child coming soon, Hernandez will likely be away from the team for the next few days.
The 29-year-old has slashed .263/.315/.476 with 20 home runs, 64 RBI, and 54 runs across 109 games this season.
As the season winds down, the Blue Jays will have Hernandez continue his success as they push for an AL Wild Card slot.
With Hernandez out, Toronto has called Gabriel Moreno up from Triple-A Buffalo.
