The Texans listed Dameon Pierce as the No. 1 running back on Houston’s unofficial depth chart for their Week 1 matchup against the Colts.

Rex Burkhead is listed as the number two back for the team, but they could do a committee role to begin the season.

Pierce ran for 49 yards on five attempts when Houston opened their preseason in August, and it’s looking like he’ll be their early down back heading into 2022.

For fantasy purposes, it might be wise to see where the Texans offense leads to before selecting one of their RB’s.
