Anthony Rizzo is returning to the New York Yankees lineup Wednesday against the Seattle Mariners.
Rizzo has been sidelined for about a week after dealing with lower back soreness, but he’s returning to start today.
The 33-year-old is batting third in the rotation and starting at first base Wednesday for the Yankees.
Through 348 at bats this season, Rizzo’s slashing .227/.347/.511 with 27 home runs, 66 RBI, and 64 runs scored.
New York is still atop of the AL East, but they’ve gone 3-7 in their last 10 games.
Rizzo’s return to the lineup will certainly help the Yankees lineup on the road in Seattle to wrap up their three-game series.
