According to Seattle Mariners GM Jerry Dipoto, outfielder Kyle Lewis should be activated on Friday against the Houston Astros.
Lewis has been sidelined nearly all of this season due to injuries, including a concussion he suffered back in late May.
The 27-year-old posted a high 1.313 OPS with five home runs and 12 RBI across a 10-game minor league rehab assignment this month between High-A Everett and Triple-A Tacoma.
If he can return to the Mariners lineup healthy, he’d be a valuable asset for the lineup to help continue the team’s hot streak.
Lewis has made just 16 plate appearances this season across four games in his 2022 campaign.
