The Houston Astros placed relief pitcher Ryan Pressly on the paternity leave list Thursday ahead of their matchup with the Yankees.
Pressly has been excused from the team following the good news of the birth of his second child.
With the two-time All Star out of the bullpen, Houston will have to turn elsewhere for save opportunities if they arise.
Pressly has accumulated a 3-2 record this season with 19 saves and 32 strikeouts across 28 innings pitched.
The Astros are coming out of the All-Star break for a double header against the Yankees on Thursday.
