The Arizona Cardinals signed 24-year-old quarterback Kyler Murray to a five-year, $230.5 million contract extension.
The deal includes $160 million guaranteed and gives Murray the second-highest paid quarterback annual average salary at $46.1 million per year.
Murray and the Cardinals have finally ended their offseason drama and finally agreed on a substantial extension.
He led Arizona to a very hot 7-0 start last season before an ankle injury and an injury to his number one receiver in DeAndre Hopkins.
Murray is now signed through 2028, and head coach Kliff Kingsbury signed through 2027.
Posting the eighth-highest QB rating in 2022 at 100.6, Murray compiled 3,787 passing yards for 24 touchdowns and 10 interceptions, 423, rushing yards, and five rushing touchdowns last season.
