The Cleveland Guardians placed rookie outfielder Oscar Gonzalez on the 10-day injured list with right abdominal tightness.
Gonzalez was scratched from the lineup on Thursday due to the injury, and he underwent an MRI on Friday to determine the severity of the issue.
The 24-year-old out of the Dominican Republic was slashing .285/.315/.431 with two home runs and 14 RBI across 130 plate appearances over 32 games.
Hopefully Gonzalez can get healthy and return to Cleveland’s lineup sooner than later.
