The Portland Trail Blazers have fully guaranteed Josh Hart’s $12.9M contract for the 2022-23 season.
Smart move by Portland who are doing anything they can to retain Damian Lillard, and they also recently traded for Jerami Grant from Detroit.
Hart and the Blazers also have a mutual option in place for the 2023-24 season, so there’s a good chance we see he stays in Rip City for at least the next two years.
The 27-year-old out of Villanova averaged 19.9 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.3 assists, and 1.2 steals in his 13 games played with Portland last season.
Hart was dealt from the New Orleans Pelicans to Portland for CJ McCollum and draft compensation towards the end of the 2022 season.
