The Tampa Bay Rays placed outfielders Manuel Margot and Kevin Kiermaier on the 10-day injury list Tuesday.
Margot is dealing with a right knee sprain while Kiermaier has left hip inflammation.
Rays manager Kevin Cash told reporters Monday that Margot is expected to miss significant time with the injury after he collided with the right-field wall in Monday’s game against the Yankees.
Kiermaier was also removed from Monday’s game with his injury, but it doesn’t seem as serious as his fellow outfielder.
Margot, 27, was on pace to record his best career season at the plate, batting .302/.365/.423 with a .788 OPS.
