After making one start this season, the Nationals Nationals Stephen Strasburg on the 15-day injured list with a stress reaction in his ribs.
Strasburg was reportedly scratched from Tuesday’s scheduled start against the Braves after experiencing discomfort during a recent bullpen session.
The team sent the 33-year-old to get an MRI, which will determine the severity of the injury.
Strasburg has only been able to make eight starts over the last three seasons due to injuries.
The three-time All-Star’s signed to a seven-year, $245 million contract that he signed with Washington back in 2019.
