Gio Urshela is sidelined from the Minnesota Twins starting lineup for Saturday’s game against the Blue Jays.
Twins manager Rocco Baldelli told reporters that the Urshela was removed from Friday’s matchup against Toronto with a sprain in the mid-arch of his right foot.
Urshela’s now considered day-to-day for the time being, with Jose Miranda replacing him at third base.
The 30-year-old vet is off to a good start to his 2022 campaign, batting .270/.330/.403 with 20 runs scored, 25 RBI, and five home runs.
