Yoan Moncada is back in the White Sox starting lineup Thursday vs. Toronto after dealing with a quad injury.
Moncada will start at third base and bat third in the series finale against the Blue Jays today.
Although he’s come off the bench for Chicago the last few outings, it’ll be his first start in over a week.
Moncada’s off to a slow start in the 2022 campaign, slashing .131/.172/.246 for just two home runs, four runs, and four RBI in 64 plate appearances.
The 27-year-old will look to get back on track against Blue Jays starting pitcher Alek Manoah, who’s carrying a 5-1 record and 1.77 ERA heading into today’s contest.
