The Philadelphia Phillies placed infielder Jean Segura on the 10-day injured list with a fractured right index finger.
Segura suffered the injury Tuesday night against the San Francisco Giants when he got struck by a pitch while trying to lay down a bunt in the seventh inning.
Unfortunately, the timetable for the solid 32-year-old veteran to be out has been set for 10-12 weeks reported by NBC Sports.
The Phillies called up infielder Nick Maton from Triple-A Lehigh Valley to help fill the gap in the infield.
On the year, Segura was batting .275/.324/.407 with 22 runs, 19 RBI, six home runs, and eight stolen bases across 44 games played.
