The Cincinatti Reds activated Joey Votto from the COVID-19 injury list ahead of their weekend series against the Blue Jays.
Votto had been sidelined nearly all of this month before playing in a rehab assignment in Single-A on Tuesday.
The 38-year-old vet has been struggling at the dish so far this season, posting a .122/.278/.165 slash line for no home runs and three RBI.
With an 11-26 record and currently being last in the NL Central, the Reds will need Votto to bounce back out of his slump.
