After being placed on the bereavement leave list Monday, Starling Marte is re-joining the Mets on Thursday afternoon.
According to MLB.com, Marte will be activated from the bereavement list on Friday ahead of New York’s three-game series in Colorado versus the Rockies.
The 33-year-old has opened the season with the Mets very well batting .266 with 20 runs, 20 RBI, three homers, and five stolen bases across 139 at bats.
Expect him to pick off right where he left off in a hitter friendly Coors Field in Colorado.
