According to Celtics head coach Ime Udoka, Marcus Smart will be listed as questionable for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Tuesday with a right foot sprain.
Smart was listed as questionable throughout the second-round series against Milwaukee, but he was able to stick it out and play of six of the seven games.
Udoka described the injury as “pretty tender and sore right now,” but the hope is he can take the floor in Miami.
If Smart is ultimately sidelined, Derrick White and Payton Pritchard would likely see uptakes in minutes.
The good news for Boston is that Robert Williams III will be available to play after dealing with a left knee bone bruise, and he’ll have no minutes restriction.
