The San Francisco Giants activated 3B Evan Longoria from the 10-day IL after recovering from surgery to repair ligament damage in his right finger.
Longoria is set to make his 2022 season debut Wednesday at home against the Colorado Rockies, where he’ll bat third in the lineup.
The 36-year-old veteran posted a high .833 OPS with 13 home runs and 46 RBI in 81 games last season with San Francisco, and he’ll look to pick up on that this year.
Longoria is earning an adjusted salary of $14,500,000 for the 2022 season with a contract option for 2023.
