According to Bleacher Report, Mark Jackson has emerged as a leading candidate for the Sacramento Kings head coach position.
Kings chairsperson Vivek Ranadive urged the Kids to consider Jackson for the associate head coaching position in 2020, which ultimately went to Alvin Gentry.
RealGM also noted that Sacramento is seeking head coaching experience along with a defensive identity and a vocal leader.
The Los Angeles Lakers and Charlotte Hornets are also linked to Jackson, as he’s popular with many active players.
Jackson, now 57, last coached the Golden State Warriors from 2011-2014.
