Toronto Blue Jays 36-year-old veteran Dexter Fowler has been released by the team Tuesday following his request.
Fowler asked for and was granted his release by Toronto after appearing in three games at Triple-A Buffalo this season.
The veteran played in seven games last season as a member of the Angels before unfortunately tearing his ACL in his left knee.
Fowler could receive phone calls from teams in need of a veteran leader in the near future.
